This year’s InnovaConnect program is open to all institutes, schools, and research organizations nationwide, instead of just a few units in the Hanoi area.
With the goal of expanding the InnovaConnect program nationwide, this year the VinFuture Foundation accepts applications from institutes, schools, and research organizations in Vietnam that want to promote international scientific cooperation.
After that, the unit will organize an evaluation to select applications that meet the criteria of the InnovaConnect program. The results will be notified to partners within 60 days from the end of the registration period.
Based on the connection needs of the unit, the orientation of domestic science and technology development, world trends, and the principles and missions of the VinFuture Foundation, the unit will sponsor the cost of inviting international scientists to participate in activities within the framework agreed between the partner and the fund. The networking events will be implemented and completed within 6 months from the date of funding approval.
Dr. Le Thai Ha – Executive Director of VinFuture Foundation said that InnovaConnect has gradually become an important bridge, creating a space for professional exchange, academic exchange and opening up potential cooperation opportunities, together exploring achievements in the field of science and technology. This year, the unit decided to expand the scale, bringing this scientific bridge to all institutes and schools across the country.
“This decision meets the increasing demand for learning, cooperation and technology transfer, as well as access to elite knowledge from the world, contributing to improving training and scientific research activities in Vietnam”, he added.
InnovaConnect, which is expanding nationwide, is one of the highlights of VinFuture Foundation this year, on the occasion of its 5th anniversary. The scientific connection activities implemented by the organization in the past have helped domestic scientists improve their professional qualifications, while expanding the international cooperation network, creating conditions to promote the sustainable development of the scientific community.
In addition, the program also plays an important role in building a solid research foundation, inspiring passion and creativity in the future generation of domestic scientists.
VinFuture Foundation will pilot a series of connection activities from 2024 at a number of key universities in the Hanoi area such as: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and University of Public Health.
InnovaConnect’s seminars on global hot topics have attracted thousands of scientists, contributing to connecting the world’s leading minds with the Vietnamese research community.
In addition, the program opens up opportunities for Vietnamese and international scientists to move towards practical cooperation such as building research cooperation projects between units, cooperation to improve research and teaching capacity, lecturer and student exchange programs, etc. In particular, a number of research cooperation projects of units have been funded by VinFuture Fund for initial implementation.
The InnovaConnect program is expected to help institutes, universities and research facilities in Vietnam expand connections with the international scientific community, thereby moving towards substantive and sustainable cooperation.
